Classes are offered in all phases of dance from Beginner to Advanced levels. It is highly recommended that once the students reach the Beginner Level that they participate in a minimum of two one hour classes per week, one of which should be in ballet in order to maintain and advance in that level.

PARENTS AND TOTS...a childs imagination is always at work. Creative Movement and dance for Parents and their toddlers (age 18 months to 3 years old) gives children the opportunity to experience dance in a fun and creative way with the security of having their parents with them. All movement and dance is based on concrete ideas that the children can relate to and involve many objects and props that will capture the children's' imagination. Parents are urged to be part of their childs learning experience in class.

This preballet class for dancers ages 3-5yrs is designed to help them develop rhythm, creative ability, motor skills, coordination, and musical appreciation. It introduces young dancers to the basic ballet dance technique. In addition, each dancer will be given an In Motion Star Card - a sticker will be added to the card each week for good work.

BALLET CLASSES...are offered to dancers from Beginner to Advanced levels. In addition to the classical ballet and Cecchetti Techniques, these classes develop poise, grace, correct body placement , and alignment. Only students qualified by their teacher may participate in this phase. Requirements for other levels vary according to development.

TAP CLASSES...these weekly classes are offered to develop coordination, concentration, rhythm, speed, and a broad knowledge of the standard tap technique. Students will progress according to their development in a graded tap series and at the teachers discretion.

SUMMER DANCE CAMP... usually runs at the end of August and features a program combination of ballet, jazz, modern, crafts, videos, drama, dance history, improvisation, and fun-filled theme days.

SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE...The In Motion/Concepts In Motion Summer Dance Intensive (SDI), was created three years ago so that In Motion dancerswould benefit from an intensive built around their specific needs, techniques and artistry in an intense environment, and at a reasonable cost to dancers.  The program gives the aspiring dancer the opportunity to be involved in a real life dance company scenario – training and rehearsing every day with regular performances.  This proposed three week Summer Dance Program curriculum will expose our hand picked In Motion students to new styles and perspectives, taught by master instructors and focusing on developing strength, technique, and artistry, enabling them to progress rapidly in a short period of time

WORKSTUDY PROGRAM... In Motion is dedicated to providing our youth with positive and educational experiences and are proud to host a program by which those dancers that qualify are able to do work study in exchange for class tuition. Workstudy is offered to mature and responsible dancers in the Int levels who attend a minimum of 3 dance classes per week and demonstrate a commitment to dance and to the studio.

PERFORMANCES...are part of the dance education and an extension of benefits derived from dance and theatre training. As part of their participation dancers learn cooperation, stage presence, and projection of their individual personalities.. Our Annual Dance Showcase, usually held in May, is a fun-filled and often interactive performance involving the whole school.
