For nine years the Concepts In Motion Dance Company has strived to enrich
the lives of Bermudians by providing opportunities in dance. Formed in
association with the In Motion School of Dance, Concepts strives to bring bold
and innovative choreography to Bermuda's
stages through intensive workshops and challenging and exciting performances.
Featuring
some of Bermuda's most talented
performers, and artists, its purpose is to expose the advanced and professional
level students at In Motion to choreographic and performance
opportunities around the island and overseas.
Previously privately funded, Concepts has held several local professional
performances and workshops with acclaimed choreographers from the San Jose
Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts, the Broadway musical Aida, and the
Urban Bush Women, to name a few. Concepts dancers have also performed in Disney
World, and attended classes and workshops in New York
and Washington.
Having been granted charitable status in January 2007 Concepts will continue
to expose advanced and professional level students to choreographic and
performance opportunities locally and overseas.
2008 will feature the return to the stage of Bermudas
most innovative dance company. Concepts In Motion will feature choegraphy
from international and local artists and promises to be the cant miss performance
of the year.
Concepts is proud to have performed for local charities such as
Project 100, Agape House, the Junior Service League, National Trust, Save the
Gardens, Heritage Nights in St Georges, and the Bermuda National Gallery,

Wow!
The opening night of Concepts In Motion was a performance of pure class. The
stars themselves, with their swift mobility made such complex and intricate
routines appear so trivial one could
miss a stunt with the blink of an eye

A Conceptual Masterpiece of the Highest
Calibre
Concepts
in Motion was incredibly well performed, well choreographed and well produced.
This calibre of performance is often lamented as non-existent in Bermuda, but
In Motion School of Dance founder and director
Lizz Pimentel showed that there is real talent here.
